Faruk Türünz participated in the Oud Makers Exhibition at the 3rd Katara Oud Festival in Doha.
The event brought together oud makers from several countries and formed part of one of the major oud festivals in the Gulf.

2016 — Big Boys Toys
23–26 November 2016 — Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
The Faruk Türünz workshop participated in Big Boys Toys, an international luxury exhibition in Abu Dhabi. Independent research by the Oud Migrations project documents the presentation of Türünz workshop ouds at the UAE exhibition.
2010 — International Luthier Forum

Faruk Türünz attended the International Luthier Forum in Cairo. Al-Ahram reported extensively on his presence during the forum, describing the attention he received from musicians and instrument makers and identifying him as a leading Turkish oud maker.

The historical Faruk Türünz/Oudmaster website recorded that Faruk Türünz ouds took part in the Newport Guitar Festival in Miami.
2009 — Woodstock Invitational Luthiers Showcase
October 2009 — Woodstock, New York, USA
Faruk Türünz participated in the Woodstock Invitational Luthiers Showcase, an international gathering of instrument makers and musicians.
Contemporary reporting from the event describes Türünz as one of the featured luthiers and notes that he brought ouds to the United States. The event brought together internationally recognized builders and performers.
2008 — Faruk Türünz Double Soundboard Oud Presentation
8 November 2008 — Istanbul, Türkiye
Faruk Türünz publicly presented his Double Soundboard Oud in Istanbul.
The presentation featured Yurdal Tokcan, who performed on the new Double Soundboard instruments and compared them with Single Soundboard ouds. The event represented an important stage in Türünz’s experiments with lightweight composite soundboard construction.

2002 — International Oud Meeting

Faruk Türünz participated in the International Oud Meeting in Thessaloniki.
The meeting brought together performers, researchers and oud makers, and Türünz presented his ideas concerning the acoustic tuning of the oud soundboard and braces.
A later academic thesis from Ege University specifically cites “Faruk Türünz — Declaration at the International Oud Meeting in Thessaloniki, 2002.”

2000 — International Oud Meeting in Crete
May 2000 — Crete, Greece
Faruk Türünz’s documented history states that he first presented his developing approach to soundboard and brace tuning at an international oud meeting in Crete in May 2000.
The work was subsequently presented in greater detail at the International Oud Meeting in Thessaloniki in 2002.
2025 — Baha Yetkin’s The Makam – Oud
In 2025, oud player and educator Baha Yetkin released The Makam – Oud. Andante reported that three different ouds were used in the project, including an instrument made by Faruk Türünz.
